What does "unlimited" really mean?

Accepted Answer

Exactly that. No caps on submissions, participants, judges, admins, programs, workspaces, or platforms. The only technical constraint is a per-file size limit of 2 GB, which covers every normal use case. See our Fair Use Policy for the full details on what's included.

Why offer unlimited pricing?

Accepted Answer

Most platforms in this space charge per-seat, per-submission, or per-program, which punishes growth. If a competitor runs 5,000 submissions instead of 500, their bill goes up. We'd rather align pricing with the value you get from running programs, not the volume of data moving through them.

Question 3

What's the difference between a Workspace, Platform, and Program?

Workspace is your top-level organization on Untap. Think of it as your company or division's home. Platform is a branded portal you build inside a workspace, with its own look, domain, and audience (for example, "Innovation Challenge Platform" vs. "Scholarship Platform"). Program is an individual initiative running on a platform, such as a specific competition, grant cycle, or call for applications. Each program has its own rounds, forms, and judges. All three are unlimited on every tier.

What's the difference between tiers?

Accepted Answer

Support level and onboarding depth, not platform capacity. Every tier includes the same unlimited usage and the same core product. Higher tiers add faster response times, dedicated onboarding sessions, custom designs, account management, and additional training. The exceptions are SSO, API access, custom integrations, and full white-label, which are available on the Enterprise tier.

Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?

Yes. You can change tiers anytime without losing data, programs, or configurations. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

What if I only run programs occasionally?

Accepted Answer

Pause plan: $15/month keeps your data and configurations while you're inactive. Resume anytime without losing anything. Per-program pricing: if you only need Untap for one or two programs a year, check out our per-program pricing at untap.pro.

Who is Untap best suited for?

Accepted Answer

Organizations that run multiple innovation, talent, or application-based programs and want a single infrastructure layer instead of a patchwork of tools. Our customers include corporations, foundations, universities, government entities, and international organizations. Untap works equally well for one-off programs and long-running innovation ecosystems.

What happens when my trial ends?

After your 7-day free trial, you'll be prompted to choose a tier to continue. If you don't subscribe, your account will be paused. Your data stays intact, and you can upgrade or resume anytime. Nothing is charged automatically after the trial.

Do you offer discounts for nonprofits or educational institutions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Small local NGOs, nonprofits, foundations, and social impact teams receive 50% off all standard tiers, subject to eligibility verification: Starter: $125/month (normally $250) · Growth: $450/month (normally $900) · Ultimate: $1,250/month (normally $2,500) Email sales@untap.tech to apply.

Is there a discount for annual billing?

Yes. Annual billing is equivalent to two months free on any standard tier.

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept credit card and bank transfer. Annual prepayment is required to receive the two-months-free annual discount. Monthly billing is available on all standard tiers.

Is there an obligatory setup fee?

Accepted Answer

No. There are no mandatory setup fees on any tier. Growth, Ultimate, and Enterprise tiers include setup sessions as part of the subscription. Additional setup sessions beyond what's included are available as optional add-ons.

Do you offer refunds?

Fees are non-refundable except where expressly stated in our Terms of Service or an Order Form. Customers who terminate for uncured material breach by Untap receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid unused fees.

What's included in the custom domain feature?

Accepted Answer

Custom domains let you use your own domain (for example, programs.yourcompany.com) instead of a branded Untap subdomain. This improves SEO, trust, and brand consistency. Custom domains are included free in Ultimate and Enterprise tiers. On Starter and Growth tiers, custom domains can be added as a paid add-on at $750 per platform. Contact sales@untap.tech to set one up.

Can I remove the "Powered by Untap" footer?

The complete white-label experience (no "Powered by Untap" footer anywhere in your programs) is available on the Enterprise tier.

What does "Program Setup Support" mean?

Our team helps you configure your program end to end: application forms, evaluation workflows, program rounds, judging panels, and communications. Each setup session is a 120-minute hands-on consultation with an Untap specialist. Growth: 1 session per month included · Ultimate: 3 sessions per month included · Enterprise: unlimited Additional sessions are available at $1,000 per setup.

Where is my data hosted?

By default, Customer Data is hosted in AWS Ireland. Enterprise customers can request in-region hosting in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or Qatar (on Google Cloud Platform). See our Privacy Policy and Trust Center for full details.

Is single sign-on (SSO) available?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SSO is available on the Enterprise tier and supports your existing identity provider, so admins, judges and internal participants sign in with the credentials they already use. External participants can still register normally alongside it.

Can Untap connect to the tools we already use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Anything with an available API can be connected (HRIS, ATS, CRM, data warehouse, internal dashboards) through our REST API, webhooks and automation. Custom integration development is available as a professional service, and custom integrations are included in the Enterprise tier.

Can we choose where our data is hosted?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Data residency in a specific region is available for Enterprise customers, alongside on-premise or dedicated infrastructure deployment. Talk to us about your regulatory requirements before you sign.

Yes. API access is included with Enterprise agreements and subject to a separate API usage agreement. Contact sales@untap.tech for details.

Can I see your Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and DPA before signing up?

Of course. Our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and SLA are published publicly. Our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available on request by emailing privacy@untap.tech. Enterprise customers receive the full legal bundle during the contracting process.
